Believe it or not, “What Not to Wear”, the T.V. show, has improved my cooking! It’s such a small little tidbit I learned, but YUM, what a difference. Would you like me to explain?

Today was to be filled with errands. A good day for a Crock Pot meal! Isn’t it so nice to come home with dinner already cooked? I love it when I can actually plan ahead . . . (it doesn’t happen often enough — planning ahead!).

That parsley is the very last from my pot on the deck . . . summer’s over! Oh well, there’s always the grocery store. ANYWAY, back to What Not to Wear. I love that show. I didn’t the first time I watched it years ago. But it grew on me, I realized Stacy and Clinton were not REALLY mean, they DO know how to dress a girl and make her look so good! One day last year when I was shopping at one of my favorite places, I’ve mentioned it before here, the MSU Surplus Store, I purchased a book by Clinton Kelly titled, “Freakin’ Fabulous: How to Dress, Speak, Behave, Eat, Drink, Entertain, Decorate and Generally Be Better Than Everyone Else”. I know. But it was only a couple of dollars! And it was a cute, silly book. But there was a life changing tip within! Kelly mentioned his secret to cooking/entertaining. USE MUIR GLEN CANNED ORGANIC TOMATOES!!!!! I must say, other than the fact that it is pricy, WOW, IS IT GOOD!!!!

So now, Muir Glen fits ALL my tomato needs . . . diced, sauce, puree . . . who would’ve thought that What Not to Wear could help me dress better AND cook better!!??

I didn’t finish all my errands, but when I got home, dinner WAS done! (and good.)
