How did this happen? Seems like yesterday this grill had an important job to do for Thanksgiving. And it did. Successfully! That was only three weeks ago!

Now it is Mid December!

I haven’t been blogging for a while. One thing contributing to that ..  you’ll see my blog doesn’t look like itself … it broke! So temporarily I’ll continue on, but I AM looking forward to bringing a new look to things. Though the change can wait till after Christmas. So can finishing up my studio. I did paint my former pink desk. Lots of coats of paint were needed!

Mister C bought a new snow blower to deal with the winter snow that’s been falling. I’ve been slowly decorating for Christmas.  And Christmas shopping. And cooking. Now is time for enjoying friends. And family togetherness will be here soon!

Painting-pink-desk-12-13Shrimp-Salad-12-13I recommend you try Ina Garten’s Roasted Shrimp and Orzo salad from her book, BAREFOOT CONTESSA AT HOME. I used Gluten free pasta (more on THAT later…) and I added fresh beets, roasted. Yum.

Brownie-goodness-12-13I now think I will live happily ever after again. I found a gluten free brownie mix that turns out like REAL delicious brownies! (And adding homemade butter cream frosting didn’t hurt!)

“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
