True. Our sweet pets know when we are leaving. They especially know something is up when the luggage comes out of hiding. He’s better now. We’re home! Wow…was it good escaping Michigan’s not-so-perfect early spring weather last week!

Look at his sad little face. He’s laying on my sweater. “Maybe this will keep her home”, he must be thinking… or maybe, “don’t forget to pack ME!”

But, as much as I love Max, he DID have a cat sitter who visited him EVERY day,  what a luxury. I knew he would be in good hands! … and of course, he made it. He’s fine. No more sad.

Ritz-3-15

Off to southern Florida we went. Mister C and I lived it up! (no…we didn’t stay at the Ritz, but we did visit their outside restaurant on the beach!)

Where we DID stay, had beautiful landscaping. A pool and gardens surrounded by a pond, complete with little walking bridges to cross the water. A waterfall was built behind the pool. There were lush plants, colorful flowers and trees, a few odd ducks (real ducks, very odd looking) … We were graced with  especially beautiful warm, sunny weather which filled our souls with hope that spring soon will be with us, even in Michigan. We were also graced with our Ann Marie joining us for a portion of the trip. 🙂 It was our little oasis for a week. Condo sweet condo. And of course, palm trees!

I LOVED this “yellow tree”. Its petals were shaped just like daffodils! I looked it up, its a “Tabebuia Tree”, also called a Golden Trumpet Tree, and sometimes a Daffodil Tree! 🙂

Today is April 1. Spring was official last week. Easter will be this coming weekend. We all, here in Michigan at least, are READY … bring on the warmth (and a little color too)!
